When you choose an ESSE range cooker you have the reassurance of over half a century of oil burning expertise and the knowledge that your new ESSE is a true thoroughbred, craftsman made range. ESSE atomising cookers offer outstanding levels of control. Heat up times from cold are spectacularly fast, so their thermostatically controlled ovens can be conveniently turned on and off as required. The OC is available with an electronic programmer for added convenience.

Cooking, heating and domestic hot water – O60, O80 & O106
All central heating models are available with a full range of electronic programming options and a choice of three power outputs, 60,000, 80,000 and 106,000 Btu/h, enough to handle even the most demanding heating systems. These models are equipped with two burners, enabling the cooking and heating functions to be independently operated.

Despite seemingly relentless increases in the price of domestic heating oil means it is no longer the fuel of choice for those without access to mains gas, an efficient and controllable appliance may still be the best choice.

ESSE pressure jet (also known as "atomising") cookers are all equipped with an electronic programmer and a thermostatic oven control to give you full control over when and how you choose to use it. The burner fires inside an acoustic chamber to minimise their noise and the heat is directed straight to the left hand side of the heavy duty and machined cast iron hotplate. From cold, this can be up to working temperature in only 10 minutes.

The right hand side hotplate heats up more slowly and is always cooler to allow for simmering. The main oven will heat up in approximately 30-40 minutes, from cold to 200°C. In the colder months the cooker may be left on continually or for longer periods outside of just cooking needs and the temperature can be precisely controlled by the oven thermostat, thus regulating the amount of heat in the kitchen and also the fuel consumption. The programmer caters for various situations, including three events per day and each day of the week individually programmable if required.

Case heat losses are minimised by use of high quality insulation and insulated stainless steel hotplate covers.

For customers wishing to use the cooker for ventral heating also, 60,000, 80,000, and 106,000 Btu/h boiler models are available, equipped with a second, separate burner and integral high efficiency boiler. Cooking and heating functions remain independent from each other on these models.

The oven burner will use 0.6 of a litre for the first hour from cold and there after 0.25 of a litre per hour to maintain a constant high oven temperature.
